The Timex Girls Frog Watch is made with a green resin case that has a stainless steel back. It is factory sealed to be water resistant to 30 meters so that your child can reach into the local frog pond for her next playmate without having to worry about taking her watch off.
The crystal on this watch is made from scratch resistant plastic, behind which is a white face with a small, green jumping frog just above the 6. The large, easy to read numerals are in green, pink and yellow. The hour hand is pink, the minute hand is yellow and it also features and a sweep second hand. The time is kept very accurately using one of Timex's well known quartz analog movements that are accurate to within 30 seconds per month.
The band is made from a unique elastic material that allows you to use the special buckle to set the right size and forget it. Your child will be able to slide the watch on and off quite easily afterwards without needing any help. The band is green in colour to complement the case and has dark green frogs jumping all over it with pink lily pads. As with all Timex watches this one comes with an instruction booklet and a 12 month manufacturer's warranty covering defects in manufacturing and materials.
What more can I say this is an absolutely adorable kid''s watch. Timex has always made really good kids watches, but this one really takes the cake. My nephew is one of those little boys who is always going down to the pond at the end of his garden and playing with the frogs that live there. He loves frogs, toads and all things amphibian. He even has a pet frog that lives in an aquarium in his room. Needless to say when his birthday or Christmas comes around we try to find him something new to go with his love of frogs. Well you can only by some many frog models and pictures so when we saw this cute frog watch we thought it might make a really cool gift. Now granted Mikey is only 6 but he already knows how to tell tike so a watch is great idea for him. We also knew that since it was a Timex the quality would at least be decent. Imagine our delight when we opened the package, this is a truly wonderful watch. The quality was marvelous and it was every bit as cute as the picture. Our nephew just loves it and wears it everywhere he goes. Definitely one of the best gifts we have bought for him yet.
